Dan Bond
Dan brings over 20 years of experience working in the healthcare arena to his role at Capstone Benefits. He has worked in senior management in both small and large organizations and uses that perspective along with a diverse healthcare background to help employers successfully achieve their benefit goals.
Dan received his MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Management Information Systems from Indiana University. He received his undergraduate degree from Manchester College where he majored in Business Administration and Psychology.
Heading-up account management for Principal Financial Group, a national claims administrator, Dan was responsible for managing and strengthening client relations and gained first hand experience in what differentiates great service from good service. He became intimately familiar with not only normal plan operations, but also the many health management services now in the market, such as medical management, disease management and wellness. He worked closely with both large and small companies, as well as single and multiple employer plans to understand their needs and develop benefit strategies.
By serving as Marketing Director in both a Fortune 500 company and The Molloy Companies, an elite, mid-size privately owned organization, Dan is able to help associations market their health plan to new members and improve client retention. He also uses this experience to help single and multiple employer plans improve their benefit communications to employees.
During his time with Molloy, Dan performed an in-depth analysis and comparison of claims administration systems and gained a thorough understanding of what employers need to know about their claims administrator. He also learned what components are the most effective at controlling claims expenses.
As President and C.E.O. of a small technology company, Dan led a high performance team to achieve key product innovations and acquired valuable experience in developing, marketing and servicing IT solutions in the healthcare market. During this time, he also learned the challenge facing small employers who are trying to provide healthcare to employees.
Outside of work, Dan is active in his community and church and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
